International Mathematics Success

Several of our JESS Arabian Ranches students in Years 5, 6, 7 and 8 participated in an International Mathematics Competition in June 2010. Overall performances were outstanding with 12 Silver and 22 Bronze certificates achieved. Special mention must be given to Najeeb Al-Shabibi in Year 5 who outscored all but one student in Years 6, 7 and 8 ! Best in school, earning the only Gold certificate, was Cormac O’Neil. Cormac’s performance was so exceptional that he earns the right to participate in the next round, the Junior Mathematical Olympiad. This competition is only open to the top 0.1% of mathematicians worldwide ! A truly amazing performance. Congratulations to all who took part.
