Sixth Form rock band attracts local media interest

Our very own rock band 'Wait, What's Mainstream?' made up of 5 Sixth-Formers, had their musical talents highlighted in The National newspaper on 23 June 2010, after playing at the JESS Rocks concert and releasing an album to raise money for the JESS Vietnam Project. The students, together with music teacher Lindsey Stirrat, have spent much of their spare time recently recording the album at a local studio, thanks to Martin Carre and BKP studios.  The full article can be viewed on the following link:

The JESS Rocks concert also gave other secondary students the opportunity to perform and included a 'House Rocks' competition which saw many other great acts perform!
