Part of the JESS experience is about building and protecting a sense of community. We believe that bringing together the separate domains of home and school will enrich this process. Building a partnership between students, teachers and parents is an essential ingredient for the success of our students.
JESS Schools continually build upon a strong reputation for the provision of excellent schooling in Dubai. Our aim of ‘Achieving Excellence Together’ is very much a driving force and we enjoy a positive and supportive relationship with our students, parents and the wider community. Our expectations are high and the students respond positively to this. I have no doubt that, as we develop, our goal of becoming a highly regarded school of excellence will be fully realised.
When a student joins JESS they become part of the JESS community and its mission. This places special expectations on students and parents to work with the School in helping to make sure every student reaches their full potential. The School offers a comprehensive mainstream education to develop the ‘whole’ child’. It educates in intellectual, physical, and cultural domains and students are expected to participate fully in these areas. JESS offers a broad range of opportunities in every field of endeavour to suit each student's choice and interest.
Parent Help in the Classroom
Parent helpers have made a valuable contribution assisting the teaching/support staff over the years within JESS. We are always very grateful for any help that parents can provide within the school environment whether in the classroom, library or simply listening to children read.
We are looking for support in the following areas:
• Class Administration
• Creative work for displays and general art work
• Listening to children read individually
Please don’t be concerned if you feel you don’t have the relevant experience as training and guidance will be provided as required.
New volunteers are always welcome so if you have any time to spare and would like to be involved in some way, please enter your details below and we will be in touch. Unfortunately parents are unable to support the year group that their child(ren) is currently in.
