INSTRUCTIONS

JESS after-school clubs are available to Key Stage Two pupils, i.e. pupils in Years 3 to 6
(with the exception of paid clubs for swimming and dance).
Pupils may choose 2 'ordinary' clubs per term. You should enter your child’s name, class, e-mail address, mobile number, and select 1st, 2nd, and if your child has one, a 3rd (alternative) choice of preferred clubs. You will then be sent by e-mail an acknowledgement, with a summary of your choices. PLEASE NOTE THIS DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOUR CHILD A PLACE IN THE CHOSEN CLUBS; NOTIFICATION OF CLUB PLACEMENTS WILL BE BY E-MAIL BY WEDNESDAY 21 SEPTEMBER 2011. 

When signing up you will be required to enter your child’s name and class plus an e-mail address and a telephone number. The e-mail address you provide online will be used to inform you of your child’s club allocation and the telephone number will be used in case of last minute cancellation. Therefore please inform Primary Reception of any change to the e-mail address or telephone number provided during sign up. Those people with more than one child eligible for clubs will need to re-open the link to sign up for each additional child. We will endeavour, as ever, to allocate children their preferred activities; however, please be aware that this is not always possible due to restrictions in numbers for many of the clubs.  Please deliberate carefully as it can be difficult to make alterations at a later date.

Selected Clubs: Orchestra, Swim Squad,  Student Council, F1 in Schools, Lit Fest Fringe Production, Athletics

If you are selected for any of these clubs, you are also permitted to select 2 ‘ordinary’ clubs.

Selected Clubs


It is not possible to choose any ‘selected’ club details; they are displayed for your information only.

     Ø  Notification of club placements will be given by e-mail by Tuesday 20th December 2011.

    Ø  Most clubs will commence on Sunday, 15th January 2012.

    Ø  Please do not send any payments into school until you have received the notification e-mail.

    Ø  Clubs will run for 8 sessions and for 45 minutes from 2.30-3.15pm unless otherwise stated.

    Ø   There will a break for clubs of a full week at half term.

    Ø   Most clubs will finish the week beginning Sunday, 11th March 2012.

If your child attends Islamic Studies or Extra Arabic after school please avoid selecting clubs that clash with these lesson timings.

The staff members who lead the clubs take an attendance register every week. If your child has been in school and will not be participating in their club please inform reception or the relevant teacher; likewise if your child wishes to discontinue attending a club please let us know as soon as you can. Transport to and from any external clubs is not provided. For clubs within school, children should be collected from the club location; those not collected on time will be taken to Primary Reception.
