Our pastoral system promotes a positive and caring framework within which a student’s academic and personal development is monitored. Form Tutors play an important role in this.

On entry to JESS, each student will be placed with a Form Tutor who will see his or her Tutor Group daily, check student progress, offer guidance where needed and generally ensure that all is well for the individual student.

Form Tutors work as a team led by a Head of Year with further support from the Assistant Head: Pastoral. The Form Tutor has a good overview of his or her tutees and is generally your first point of contact in the school if you need to discuss matters relating to your son or daughter.
