The aim of the Learning Resource Centre is to provide the environment in which the students can obtain information and develop ideas that are fundamental to their development as independent, self-motivated and effective lifelong learners.

The LRC occupies two floors, serving the Primary and Secondary schools. Materials that will enrich and support the curriculum are provided, taking into account the varied interests and abilities of the students, as well those which will meet their recreational needs. At present we have over 13 000 resources in the two LRCs, including books, audio books, DVDs, videos and posters. A range of newspapers and magazines is also available. The number of resources is increasing on an annual basis.

The Secondary LRC is an extremely well-used facility, with students being encouraged to borrow both fiction and non-fiction materials. Classes visit for research purposes, using book and non-book materials, including the computer facilities. The LRC is also available for students during break times and before and after school.

The LRC is staffed by qualified, experienced staff and operates ‘Oliver’ which is a web based library management system offering full text searching for fast, efficient and powerful retrieval of information.
