• Year 7 students study various aspects of Medieval History, focusing on William the Conqueror and the impact of the Norman Conquest of England. They also study life in Greenleigh Village, as well as investigating medieval Baghdad.

• Year 8 students study the Tudor and Stuart monarchies focusing on such areas as Mary Tudor, the Civil War, Charles I and Oliver Cromwell. They also consider political and industrial revolutions in France and England.

• Year 9 students study various aspects of slavery and its impact on lives of black people in the Americas. The students continue this theme by studying the impact of the Civil Rights’ Movement in twentieth century America. They also have the opportunity to consider other aspects of history in the twentieth century.
