Successful Psychology Trip to Europe

Friday, Mar 04, 2016

The Psychology Department ran another hugely successful trip to the cities of Munich and Vienna over the Half term break. Miss McGlinchey and Mr Berry chaperoned fourteen very excited Year 10 students and four incredibly enthusiastic Year 12 students in what was a hugely learned experience. Each day brought with it an entirely brand new wealth of knowledge and culture, covering the wonderful subjects of psychology, history and science. Students received talks from a Psychiatrist (and his patient), a Professor of Cognitive Psychology, historians, a doctor and a counsellor, to name but a few. Students completed investigations into perception and culture, winning prizes for the best results. They were required to open their minds to new worlds; they asked immensely insightful questions, they answered questions, they took risks, they explored, they met new friends, they were caring, they were independent and they were witty. A big thanks to everyone on this trip for making it so relaxed and interesting.
