  • Second place in DASSA U11 Swimming League

    The morning of 11th May saw the culmination of the DASSA U11 swimming league for A squads this year in Dubai at the Hamdan Sports centre. This has been a fiercely contested competition over many months and we were hoping to improve on our 3rd place finish last year. After a tumultuous effort on the part of many pupils, staff and parents we finished 2nd overall.

  • Fran is selected for Junior Commonwealth Games!

    Year 11 JESS student Francesca Falzon-Young has been selected to swim in the Junior Commonwealth Games in the Bahamas in July. Fran has been competing internationally recently, is the No. 1 ranked 16 year old female swimmer in Malta and is one of only three Maltese swimmers to compete in the Commonwealth event.

  • Inspiring visit from Team Angel Wolf

    This week, children, staff and a small number of parents were privileged to listen to Nick Watson. Nick is a former Royal Marine who raises awareness of special needs by carrying his son Rio, who has suffered with chronic seizures from a young age, whilst competing in Ironman, triathlon and other endurance competitions across the UAE. Absolutely everyone in the room was visibly moved by his presentation. With many of the audience in tears, it was inspirational and emotional and demonstrated the depth of courage and dedication of the Watson family.

    JESS staff were recognised for their efforts last night at the first ever Education Journal Middle East Awards, which were held at the Grosvenor House Hotel. Finalists were nominated by colleagues and school leaders for their hard work, innovative ideas, and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure their students receive the best education possible and the panel of judges included well known, high profile men and women in the industry.
