Today was our second dress-up day of the week with the school celebrating UAE Flag day. In honour of the occasion, a sea of red, white, black and green flooded through the gates this morning with all the children helping create a human Burj Khalifa shaped UAE flag. Mr Diez was on drone duty, skilfully controlling his flying machine and taking pictures and videos – watch here https://vimeo.com/190060802
At midday, both the oldest and the youngest JESS students, Shuruthii Chandrasegaran and Mustafa Shazib, respectively helped raise the UAE flag.
On Sunday, the whole school came together for charity all dressed in pink. As well as having fun and raising awareness for breast cancer, JESS pupils raised AED 6,320 for Dubai Cares ….amazing!
Our Foundation 1 to Year 2 children thoroughly enjoyed their visit from The Lollipop Theatre Company. The Ugly Duckling performance was highly entertaining with lots of singing and dancing. There was also a very important message in the show to remind all of us about being kind and friendly to everyone.
The Foundation 1 children at JESS Jumeirah thoroughly enjoyed the Easter Egg Hunt organised by our JPG on Monday 21st March. The Easter Bunny left us all some fabulous chocolate treats on the day.
