JESS Jumeirah Rocks at the BSAK Netball Tournament!

On Friday 18th November, four teams made the journey to Abu Dhabi for the BSAK Netball Tournament. Three teams were competing in the U11's and one in the U9's. The U11 'C' team made up of Year 5's who we decided would enjoy the experience! Their first game was against our 'A' team which was a bit tough first thing in the morning. However, after that they played some fantastic netball and finished 5th in the whole competition. The A and B teams looked strong all day with some really pleasing wins and some great team work. It was a very proud moment when both teams won their semi-finals even though it meant they would play each other in the final. The 'B' team fought hard and almost levelled the score just after half time but the 'A' team were the winners on the day. Well done to Isabelle Lynagh who was player of the tournament. The U9 team are a real talented bunch but they have yet to play many competitive games. Friday was their first tournament and they played like real professionals. They passed the ball with great accuracy and were able to play a number of positions throughout the day. They reamain unbeaten and we are really looking forward to their league games which start this week.
