A Journey Through Time: 50 Years in Motion

As the lights dimmed and the first notes of The Sand Dance echoed across the auditorium, the audience was transported through five decades of JESS history, from its first lesson with 17 students in 1975 to the vibrant, multicultural community of today. A Journey Through Time showcased 18 original performances, each capturing a defining era in JESS’s story: from the “Mixtape Memories” of the 1990s to “The Future Begins,” a joyful celebration of the next generation.

The production brought together 50 students from across both campuses, alongside an exceptional creative team. Behind every step was a story of collaboration, care, and pride, uniting students, staff, and families in a truly unforgettable evening.

As wristbands lit up during the finale Tomorrow Starts Today, the message was clear: JESS’s legacy isn’t just in its past, it shines brightest in the creativity, confidence, and spirit of its young performers
