JESS Dubai is recognised internationally as a beacon of best practice when it comes to digital learning. Students are afforded a wide range of learning opportunities that allow them to develop 21st century skills that will empower them for the future workplace.

Office 365 is used across the school and students have access to it from Year 4 onward. SharePoint is used as a cloud-based solution for storing and sharing teaching content, CPD resources, administrative materials and more.

At JESS Dubai we believe that the capacity for critical and creative thinking is a uniquely human attribute.

In September 2016, the Surface Initiative was launched in Year 7. Students use their own Surface Pro 4 to engage with learning delivered and collated through the OneNote platform. This initiative will develop over the next two years to eventually encompass Years 7-9.

In KS4 and JESS Sixth Form, students have the autonomy to select their own device, based on their personal preference and the needs of the subjects that they have elected to study.

Digital learning at JESS Dubai has earned the school many specific achievements including:

  • JESS Secondary is recognised as a Microsoft Showcase School
  • JESS Jumeirah is the only Microsoft Kodu School in the MENA region
  • Four Apple Distinguished Educators on staff
  • Two Apple Education Trainers on staff
