Student Leadership

At JESS, students are provided with a wide range of opportunities that will empower them to lead positive change. The development of leadership skills begins at a young age, where students are encouraged to lead their peers through a variety of classroom-based activities. As they move through the school, the scope of their impact widens as they eventually lead projects that make a difference beyond the school, both locally and internationally.

Head Students are selected in Year 6 and Year 12. While leadership is often viewed as a formal role, at JESS we encourage all students to become leaders so that they have the courage to make the right decision when faced with a difficult situation. We believe that leadership resides within every child and that the values they learn at JESS will serve them well in their life beyond school.
